Calvin A. Ward - Girls HS

Calvin is the Head Coach of the Girls 17U team.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Houston and a MBA from the University of Houston at Victoria.  He has 20 years of experience in the electric utility industry.  In addition, he is the Houston area director for Mid America Youth Basketball (MAYB) and President of the Brazoria Youth Basketball America (BYBA) and West Columbia Youth Basketball Association (WCYBA).

Patrice Ward - Girls 11U

Patrice holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University.  She has been the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Columbia High School in West Columbia, Texas the last 6 years and have captured the last 2 Consecutive Back 2 Back District Championships.  Prior to the 1st District Championship, Columbia girls hadn’t won a district championship since 1988 which was coincidentally her senior season at the school .  Patrice’s 2006-2007 Columbia High School team made school history after completing the regular season with a 29-0 record and finished with a 30-1 season record.  In addition, Patrice has coached youth basketball for 14 years, coached the Shot Callers 11U team.

Jarrett Donley - Boys 14U

Jarrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M University.  He is the Head Coach of the Boys 14U Show Stoppers team.  Jarrett is employed at the Gulf Coast Center MHMR as a TCOOMMI Case Manager.  Jarrett was a member of the Texas A&M University football team and is a graduate of Columbia High School.

Lugene Sims

Lugene is an assistant coach.  She has been involved in girls’ athletics for over 27 years. She played for Columbia High School in West Columbia, Texas. She was a state certified official for UIL girls’ high school volleyball for 19 years with the First Area Volleyball Officials Chapter and president for 7 years of those years. She has been involved in a number of capacities during her tenure at Columbia-Brazoria ISD.

Rusty Sims

Rusty is the assistant coach for the girls program. He holds a Batchelor of Arts degree from West Virginia State University. He has worked for Dow Chemical for 30 years. He was actively involved in their softball and basketball leagues. He attended Columbia High School in West Columbia, Texas.
